Reasons of poor performance of construction projects of Pakistan

Abstract

Global construction industry is facing the problem of poor performanceLike other countries, Pakistan is also Suffering from this problem of poor performance. Hence, this study focused on identifying the common factors cause poor performance. There are several factors which affect on the performance of the construction project but this study was limited to the factors related to health and safety, enviroenment and innovation and learning. The study was carried out by interviewing 23 experience experts  involved in handing construction projects. According to statistical analysis of the results through SPSS it is concluded that Pakistan is facing issues of health and safety factors in the construction sector. Environmental factors like Climate condition is most common reason effecting the performance and unavailability of competent and skilled staff also effects performance
